The photo is of a plaque that is affixed to an electric light stanchion on the main walkway leading into the main building of the National Yiddish Book Center, located on the campus of Hampshire College in Amherst, Mass. The stanchion was erected in 1997, the year after Nana's death.

Nana was born Helen Rachel Feuer, and became Helen R. Lipner when she married our grandfather Arthur (formerly Abraham) Lipner, she became Helen R. Berger when she married Irving Berger in 1957 or 1959. |
